What is Eczema?

Eczema is a chronic inflammatory condition of the skin that can occur at any age. It can be physically and emotionally hard to handle. With eczema, skin can become itchy and appear red, scaly or blistered.

Doctors have not been able to find the cause of eczema but have found that it tends to run in families. If someone in your family has eczema you may have a predisposition to developing the condition yourself. Eczema can also be caused or worsened when skin comes into contact with harsh soaps, detergents or fabrics. Many believe that stress can also be a trigger. Weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold or damp can also be a contributing factor to eczema symptoms.

What is Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a noncontagious skin condition that produces red papules that merge together into plaques of thickened, scaling skin. The dry flakes of skin scales are thought to result from the excessively rapid proliferation of skin cells that is triggered by abnormal lymphocytes.

Psoriasis commonly affects the skin of the elbows, knees, scalp and back.

Customer Testimonial

"I discovered cardiospermum cream after a good friend recommended it to me. I have suffered with atopic eczema since childhood. The eczema was mainly on my legs and stomach, but would sometimes appear on my forehead.  It almost ruined my school years.

My Mother took me to the doctor almost weekly. I was prescribed with the usual steroidal based creams. These worked for a short while. But as soon as I stopped using them, the itching would start and before long, the eczema was back. It was frustrating, depressing and did absolutely nothing for my social life.

When the internet came along, I got the chance to research the market and chat to other sufferers through chat rooms and forums. These people were mostly in America where they seemed to have access to a greater choice of alternative eczema products. I ordered a few. Some had great effect, some did nothing, some even made it worse. But the most effective products contained Cardiospermum Halicacabum. I order regularly, but after around six months, the company stopped posting overseas. I was stuck and forced to back to steroidal products to get some relief.

A few years later (2010), a friend of mine told me about a product she was using on her daughter’s eczema. As soon as she said the words cardiospermum, I was over the moon. Finally a company in the UK had decided to produce a product range with this wonderful ingredient in it.

I would like to thank all the team at Welby Naturals for their support and fantastic customer service. I am a customer for life, well for as long as my eczema plays a part in it. I know there is no known cure for eczema, but the Welby products really do help keep the itch away, and for now that it is enough to let me get on with my life."
